1. How many DVD's can I check out at one time?
You can order an unlimited number of DVD videos with a maximum of four (4) discs in your possession at any one time. For example, if you order twelve DVDs at once only four will be sent out, providing availability – the remaining eight discs will be sent out as discs are returned. Also, please keep in mind you will have approximately ten (10) calendar days to view each title. In other words, the more DVD videos you rent at any one time, the less time you will have to view each of your selections. (Please see, “How long can I keep each DVD video?”).
2. How long can I keep each DVD video?
We offer ten (10) full days in which to enjoy your selections. Occasional delivery delays beyond our control may result in less time. For your convenience, each DVD video you receive from us will include a “Return on or before” date. Returned items postmarked after the “return by” date will be subject to late charges. (Please see, “Are there late fees?”).
3. I did not receive an email confirming my order, where is it?
Please make sure your Internet email provider does not block email from Avnac or mark it as “SPAM.” A few hours after placing your order with us, please check your “Bulk Mail” folder if your confirmation email has not made it to your regular email “Inbox.”
4. Why do you rent DVD videos in different formats?
Many of the titles we carry are specialty type videos, with smaller production costs and volumes as compared to mainstream Hollywood movies. As such, many of these discs do not carry the standard “DVD Video” format (found at your local movie retail outlet) but were recorded using the DVD+R or DVD-R formats, readable by the vast majority of DVD players. Please check with your DVD device's operating manual first as we cannot issue refunds for compatibility issues. As a convenience we display the associated format with each DVD video title listing.
5. How do I report a disc that will not play?
Please note that we cannot be held responsible for rented DVD+/-R discs that are incompatible with your DVD player. Please ensure this is not the case before requesting a replacement disc. To report an unplayable disc, send us an email at info@avnac.com or visit our Contact Us page, including the title of the disc. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience, and will send you a replacement DVD video ASAP
6. Can I make copies of the DVD videos I rent?
No; copying DVD videos without the express written consent of the copyright holder is illegal. At Avnac, we work hard and with integrity to provide a beneficial service to you, our valued customer. If we suspect you have abused this service by making illegal copies of our DVD videos, your account will be suspended indefinitely and we will report our findings to the proper authorities. Theft hurts everyone involved and we pride ourselves in offering an honest service at a fair price!
7. Does Avnac sell DVD videos?
Not yet, but stay tuned! We have exciting plans to begin selling DVD videos in the near future. If you're a distributor who would like to see your titles carried by Avnac, please send us an email.
8. How does Avnac “count” the duration of ten (10) days?
We add ten (10) calendar days from the date your DVD video selections are shipped, plus add an additional grace period based on USPS estimated delivery timeframes from our distribution center in California. Please note that despite these best efforts, occasional delivery delays beyond our control may result in less time to enjoy your selections. By the same token, expedited postal deliveries may also occur, which would allow you extended viewing time.
Avnac is currently a service for United States ' residents only, including Hawaii and Alaska . In the future, we hope to provide our service abroad.
10. How are the DVD videos shipped?
All our DVD videos are sent via USPS First-Class Mail using a convenient pre-paid two-way envelope (e.g., for shipping and returning discs), and bear the Avnac name. Each disc is shipped separately to minimize loss and to provide an easy method for returning them once they're viewed.
11. How long before I receive my DVD video selections?
DVD videos usually arrive within two (2) to five (5) business days. Orders received on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays are processed the following business day.
12. When I rent a DVD video set or “series”, in what order will they be shipped?
DVD video sets or “series” are never shipped out of sequence, unless individual titles are ordered separately. When ordering a series however please keep in mind; the more DVD videos you rent at any one time, the less time you will have to view each of your selections. (Please see, “How many DVD's can I check out at one time?”). For this reason it may become desirable to break up video sets into separate orders, allowing sufficient viewing time between. Please also note that each disc is shipped separately to minimize loss in shipping and shipping delays beyond our control may result in receiving your set out of sequence. These cases should be rare and most likely result in a one-day inconvenience. (Please see, “How are the DVD videos shipped?”)
13. What if I do not receive or I lost a DVD video I rented?
According to the Terms of Use you agree to be held responsible for any loss to rented materials. With that said, we understand on very rare occasion the U.S. Postal Service can make a mistake, causing a disc to be undelivered. It should be noted, however, that Avnac will not tolerate theft of DVD videos. If you are suspected of theft, we will be forced to suspend your account, pending a full investigation by the U.S. Postal Service, and credit card companies' fraud divisions. All prosecution laws will apply. To report a lost disc use the “Report Rental Problems” feature after clicking on “My Account” (login required) from any page.
14. I lost the protective DVD case and/or mailer. What do I do?
Great consideration and care has been taken to ensure our DVD’s are delivered in the best possible condition. Please use whatever means necessary to return rented materials safely to the following address: Avnac, PO Box 216
Avnac is a “pay per video” online rental service. There are NO recurring or monthly fees, NO commitments, NO hidden costs and shipping is FREE both ways. You simply pay the amount listed per DVD video… and that's it! We offer DVD videos for rent as low as $4.49!
In order to offer a great "pay-per-video" service with no recurring charges we must have our rental products returned timely to re-stock. Therefore, yes, unreturned or returned discs postmarked after the provided “return by” date will be subject to a late charge of $1.00 per DVD video, per day. In addition, you will be charged the full replacement price for any videodisc not returned within three weeks after the “return by” date. This can be very expensive, especially for discs belonging to a DVD set, where purchasing the entire set is necessary to replace the lost item. In any event, please be kind and return rentals on-time so others may promptly receive their orders just as you deserve. (Please see, “How long can I keep each DVD video?”).
